Jim Reid formerly of Jesus and Mary Chain
Jesus and the Mary Chain former singer Jim Reid has recently put out an album under the moniker Freeheat which was a gulping dose of desert indie rock dashed with elements of psych rock and post-punk. Recently he recorded some sessions on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 6 along with Phil King. His signature vocals and sparse instrumentation on his single "Dead End Kids shows a man finding his mark time and time again. "Stranded" was recorded live at the 12 Bar Club while Vegetable Man" was recorded live as a tribute to Syd Barrett with a full band at The Bar Academy Islington in mid-July.
