The Dying Californian — Coarsegold Buy it at Amazon
Three is a magic number for The Dying Californian. “Coarsegold” took three years to write and record and also happens to be the third album for the group on Turn Records. Named after a town that’s literally in the center of California where prinicipal songwriter Nathan Dalton found himself living for a while, it helped inspire a sense of Americana into a traditional folk-rock pop album. Riff with earnest lyrics and sincere harmonies, “Coarsegold” is a very good entry into the scene on the borderline of alt. country and indie pop.
