Swims — Swims Buy it at Amazon
Stripped down rock that boasts bass and drums, Swims remind me of some of those late ‘90s experimental metal acts that were doing this but utilized perhaps more distortion pedals. The wizardry displayed by both players is incredibly impressive, especially when you note how thick each song sounds. Talented musicianship aside, the songs are aggressively written and perfectly performed. Sounding like a improv’s wet dream, this self-titled album is simply stirring.
