N.K.E.N.G. — Simple As I Am Buy it at Amazon
Born in Cameroon in West Africa, Nkeng Alemanji has written many songs over the coarse of his young life. His “You Remind Me”, which bats lead off on “Simple As I Am”, is inspired and written as a tribute for the late great civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King and was honored in several award circles. His songwriting isn’t overly complex but instead concentrates on being efficient. His vocals are very breathy and high-pitched while the instrumentation can sometimes be plagued by poor sound in the MIDI department. But his lyrics remain inspiring and more than competent.
