The Lovely Sparrows — Pulling Up Floors, Pouring on (New) Paint Buy it at Amazon
The last time I heard The Lovely Sparrows was via their dynamic 7” vinyl release “Take Your Hats Off, You Godless Bastards”. Austin-based, The Lovely Sparrows write well-ranged indie rock adventures that pile into your pores with infectious melodies and catchy hooks. Indie pop sensibilities have heels that are dug in deep refusing to budge until each incredible note rings out. Truly masterful percussion with tough tinges of art-folk interspersed which is then mirrored by a songwriting technique that seems chaotic on the outside but is rich in its creamy innards.
