Small Arms Dealer — A Single Unifying Theory Buy it at Amazon
I hate to ask the obvious but, damn what happened to these guys? Lyrically choked up with stories about betrayal, double crosses, and death, Small Arms Dealer seems to juxtapose those sordid tales with a positive get-off-your-ass-and-do-something-about-it type of attitude. Strong in melody, Small Arms Dealer makes brilliant use of distortion with guitars that pop and weave like a famed and seasoned boxer. Their music is branded pop-punk with flecks of post-hardcore and emotional screams in the vein of Latterman (whose Phil Douglas mixed, recorded, and mastered the album), Kid Dynamite, and Strike Anywhere. You may recognize some of these tortured souls; the band features former members of Explosivo!, Contra, and On the Might of Princes. Pick this up from Deep Elm today.
