Bayard Russell — Selftitled Buy it at Amazon
Ivy Leaguer Bayard Russell sheds his Dartmouth education to become another New York City singer/songwriter. His music employs nu-folk adventures in synth and tons of indie pop sugary vocals. Imagine Postal Service with Elliott Smith on vocals and you’ve got a step in the right direction. It’s not bad but damn if there aren’t a gazillion of these lo-fi bedroom geeks who are struggling to climb the MySpace charts.
