Ladyslipper — The Time, Not the Weather Buy it at Amazon
Minneapolis-based Ladyslipper likes Fugazi and Mission of Burma; you can tell because they do their damnest impression. But don’t get disturbed, “The Time, Not the Weather” is no rip-off, in fact they modernize that post-hardcore sound into something that leaves the DC sound behind and crafts an all-new Midwestern sound all their own. Gravely vocals and gritty guitars are the crucifix upon which these punk artists sacrifice.
