Fu Manchu — Start the Machine Buy it at Amazon
Fu Manchu once were on tour with the Deftones. That’s how I first had heard of them. That was years ago and with each release they continue to impress. Indeed their last album “Go For It!…Live” found me heaping praise on it. Stoner rock sometimes is hard to gauge but Fu Manchu makes it easy by producing great stoner rock fuzzy rockers with ease. I think it’s hilarious that they contributed the theme song to the Discovery Channel’s hit “Monster Garage” as well as putting their song “I’m Getting Away” to the soundtrack for Jesse James’ movie “Motorcycle Mania 3”, which appears in an altered state on “Start the Machine”. So go grab your keys and rev this bad baby up.
