Sur La Mer — Prelude to the Sea Buy it at Amazon
Atsu Nagayama is force behind Sur La Mer. Alongside her are friends Dino, Jason McDermott, Kim Ambriz (Rabbit Rabbit), Julie Lui (Rex, Tortoise), and Fred Erskine (June of ’44, Hoover). “Prelude to the Sea” is the blissful debut for Sur La Mer. Beautiful ambience is stretched with impressive song structures and post-rock nuances. Recorded some five years ago, it still sounds as fresh as could be.
