Ryan Parmenter — The Noble Knave Buy it at Amazon
His first album in some eleven years, Ryan Parmenter rediscovers the beautiful pop melodies that Brian Wilson forged years and years ago on “The Noble Knave”. Bouncing piano jangles, weird lyrics, and happy hippie vibes percolate throughout this dynamically catchy album. A one-man-band and terrific songwriter, Parmenter composes almost operatic orchestra pop that is part Queen, part the aforementioned Wilson, but 100% gorgeous.
