Italian heavy post-hardcore outfit At the Soundawn write ethereal harmonies that are surrounded by chaotic whirlwinds of dissonance and mouthy yells. Formed some eight years ago, they continue to fine tune their sound with more and more mind-expanding soundscapes instead of instant adrenaline rushes. The heavy music world should take notice, groups that invoke the passion of a Mogwai but the devastation of a Shai Hulud are a rare feat.
