The Sound of Animals Fighting — Tiger & the Duke Buy it at Amazon
Odd experimental and electronic outfit The Sound of Animals Fighting refuse to tell us who is behind the mysterious hardcore-laden noise-structures that permeate “Tiger & the Duke”, promising that we’d be surprised and freak out if only we were privy to that knowledge base. Instead of names, they adopted animal pseudonyms such as the walrus, the lynx, the octopus, the ferret, the tortoise, and the hyena among others. Fusing, somehow, experimental electronica with metal-edged hardcore, and progressive rock, The Sound of Animals Fighting will probably excite more with their music than their almost comically silly ambiguity. Well whoever is behind it deserves the kudos, this is quite possibly the most unique and compelling almost operatic piece of music collage that I’ve laid ears to.
