Polkadot Cadaver — Purgatory Dance Party Buy it at Amazon
Dog Fashion Disco went bye bye. But members of that nu-metal act went on to do some recording projects under the moniker Polkadot Cadaver. The quirky result is right out of the Mike Patton handbook ala Mr. Bungle but with a nu-metal twist of course, making it seem more like Mindless Self Indulgence. The music isn’t bad and in fact the vocals are surprisingly tight even when Todd Smith stretches his voice to impossible ranges. But despite the fact that the music is off-kilter, we’ve heard this all before from better groups.
