Erin Jividen's The Real Tale Behind The Fairy Tale
Jim Gomez presents a Special Showcase Performance of

The Real Tale Behind The Fairy Tale

Written ( Music and Poetry) and Performed by Erin Jividen

Directed by Aaron Letrick

March 6 and March 7 @ The Payan Theater - 8pm

at Roy Arias Theatre Center

300 West 43rd Street

Jim Gomez is proud to present The Real Tale Behind The Fairy Tale, written and performed by rising star of the NYC music scene Erin Jividen. This special showcase production will be presented Thursday March 6 and Friday March 7, 2008 at The Payan Theater at The Roy Arias Studios. This presentation is open to general audeinces. Tickets are $15.00. Reservations can be made by calling, 212-712-7362

The Real Tale Behind The Fairy Tale-"Picture Dr. Seuss meets Sex in the City" and you've got a taste of this flavorful One Woman Show. Written in complete spoken word and music, The Real Tale Behind the Fairy Tale puts a new, modern-day spin on the classic fairy tales we know and love from our childhood. Featuring nine different female characters, this tale no longer speaks of "happily ever after" but rather the true side of their stories. They are grown-up, liberated women who finally have been given the chance to speak out. And what they have to say is shocking! No children to entertain, no men to please, no rating system to filter their words. No expectations... just the unadulterated truth.

You are invited into a world beyond fairy tales. An intimate setting where Cinderella finally speaks out about her marriage with the prince. Little Red Riding Hood reveals why she always wears her "red hood", and Belle shares her recipe for "taming the beast". Come visit Alice as she finally tells her twisted version of what really happened... you'll be surprised to find out that Wonderland is not so innocent after all. It's shocking yet whimsical. Familiar yet totally unexpected. Heart wrenching yet life affirming. Fairy tales like you've never heard before...

Erin Jividen (also known as EJ) has been writing and performing music for more that 8 years. She has a bachelor of arts degree from Hunter College where she majored in Theater and Music. During this time, EJ began performing all over NYC and even traveled down to Miami, Richmond and Philadelphia with a group of budding young artists. She was a regular in the New York music scene and was often spotted performing at the most famous venues including: The Bitterend, Webster Hall, The Living Room and The Elbow Room. She recorded her first solo record "Another Insufficient Fare" in a tiny studio in upstate New York.

Immediately after school, EJ began working with Sony Music and spent over a year recording her 2nd album under careful watch of a creative team at Sony. Eventually she went on to make her third record with Michael Blum, where she spent 2 months in Los Angeles recording "Mermaid Songs". Most recently, EJ was signed to BonGiovi Entertainment Records, where she recorded in Pompano, Florida with the noted music producer, Tony BonGiovi.

Since her last CD, "Stuck in Traffic", EJ somehow found her way back into the theater world and wrote her first full length rock musical, "Skye Is Falling". She has continued to write and is currently working on a book, another new play and music for her next album. She has been featured many times in some of New York's most infamous gossip columns like: Cindy Adams, Rush and Molloy and gawker.com. She has shared her talent across the seas, where she performed a sold out concert at The Naval and Military Club in London and become the ambassador of a charity for the blind.

For more information on Erin Jividen, please go to: www.ejrocks.com

Aaron Letrick, Director: He is the creator, director, and star of "Billy Does Broadway", his show based on Broadway's many "Billy" characters. He is the former lead singer of the rock bands "PLEEZER" and "House of Usher", and was named one of the "Top 20 Male Vocalists of the 90's" by Progressor Magazine. Aaron played "Chevas" in Erin Jividen's "Skye is Falling".

"Discrete Encounter creates crisp, chic electronic music, merging glam rock with electronica in a serious and sexy direction that picks up where electroclash's ironic 80's stunts paused the genre a couple of years ago. Discrete Encounter maintains the technoid melodiousness of groups like Lamb and Olive while releasing the sweaty, kinetic, rock n' roll energy of other rockers like the YeahYeahYeah's and The White Stripes. Intriguing, subtle, yet entirely accessible, Discrete Encounter sounds like everything the right downtown night is all about." Etomie Entertainment

Taras Mashtalir is a classical guitarist turned electronic producer who began professional recording and performing in Moscow and St. Petersburg before moving to NYC. His work also includes audio installations and sountracks for independent films and animation.

Album review; Accuse La Banks returns with his new album "Apache papa 2.1(Part Scandal)". Released in August 2007. In one word, it is Hip-hop from the battle field!
Accuse La Banks returns with his new album "Apache papa 2.1(Part Scandal)". Released in August 2007. In one word, it is Hip-hop from the battle field!

Artist: Accuse La Banks
Album: "Apache papa 2.1(Part Scandal)"
Label: Accuse La Banks Music
Genre: Old school Hip-hop, R&B, Hardcore
Website: www.myspace.com/accuselabanks
Buy CD: iTunes http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playListId=262994140

Accuse La Banks is a rapper, songwriter and music producer. His new album contains 8 tracks in styles "Old school" Hip-hop and R&B. Coming from way back then, Accuse La Banks started his musical career in the early 90-ties performing at hip-hop festivals and clubs in Lagos, Nigeria. Crossed over to Europe, in 1996 he released his first album with all the songs on it composed by him. In the year 2000 he established his own record label "Accuse La Banks Records" and started his career as a music producer.

All the songs on his new album "Apache papa 2.1(Part Scandal)" are written and produced by him, Accuse La Banks, who is presenting his production skills in his natural state. Asked why "Apache papa", Accuse La Banks says: "For me, (Apache) is kind of a spirit of persistence, resilience, endurance and strength. A spirit to move on, and above all, a spirit of forgiveness. When I set my mind on doing things, it gonna take more than war to stop me." Influenced by God and men, the lyrics and music on the album are highly passionate, emotional and melodious, but at the same time very hard and direct in a gangster way. Beware, his lyrics are explicit!

With the pilot single on the album "Get up", Accuse La Banks hints on all the player haters: "MF, do you believe that I'm still alive? After all these years, I'm still alive!" Followed by songs like "Approach me carefully" and "Your days are numbered" Accuse La Banks fights his way out to personal victory against all odds. The album also contains love songs like "I need ya" and the "old school" gangster song "Feel me", which's also available in China Remix. The China remix demonstrates his love for kung-fu as a young boy. Peace to Bruce Lee anytime...

In this album you will hear the strength and fight reaching the peak of human protest, the pain of life, governed by the spirit of the living ghost, "who keeps coming back, to give new life to those Who are in need of it. 'Cos those that believe without seeing, those are the believers."

PERFSPOT'S NEW PHOTO FEATURES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PERFSPOT’S REVAMPED PHOTO-SHARING CAPABILITIES GROW MEMBERSHIP; ONE-OF-A-KIND FEATURES ATTRACT SITE VISITORS
TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 17, 2008 - PerfSpot.com, LLC, a fast-growing social networking site, is pleased to announce that its newly launched and comprehensive photo-sharing feature is attracting new members and increasing site visitors. The newly redesigned photo section offers one-of-a-kind features not found on any other social networking site.

Since the launch of the new photo-sharing capabilities, Google Analytics show PerfSpot’s U.S. Web site visits climbed over 200 percent in December from November with an estimated 2.1 million unique U.S. visitors. Google’s numbers also show PerfSpot’s total Web site visits soared to over 22 million globally, a 119 percent growth from November to December. PerfSpot says membership growth rate has increased over ten percent since photo-sharing has been enhanced.

“We’ve combined the greatest photo-sharing capabilities out there and have integrated them into one spot on the Internet to make it a top-notch experience for all,” said Hart Cunningham, CEO, PerfSpot. “Our members are really excited about the functions and photo-sharing capabilities that are now available to them.”

Unlike any other social networking site, PerfSpot has added a new tool allowing users to view their albums or other members’ albums in a slide-show photo format. The slide-show view enlarges photos, providing an up-close look, no matter the original size of the uploaded image. All advertisements are blocked off, allowing the user to view the photo with no distractions.

Most social networking sites have the ability to share photos with friends and family by sending them a URL or emailing them the entire album, but usually this requires signing up for the social networking site. At PerfSpot, membership is not necessary for friends and family to view the photos, which makes sharing and accessing photos quick and simple.

Other new photo-sharing functions include:
• Perfection: One of the most popular functions, Perfection, allows members to select photos to share with other PerfSpot users to see how other members rate them. Rating members is completely anonymous and done on the Perfection part of the Web site.
• Views: Every time a user clicks on a photo, it automatically counts the number of views photos are receiving.
• Spotting: Spot other PerfSpot users in uploaded photos. This also alerts members to when they’ve been spotted in others’ photos.
• Advanced Photo Comments: Instead of just commenting in plain text like most other social networking sites, PerfSpot now allows users to pick from a variety of fonts, styles and sizes. Users can customize the look of their comments.
• Album Naming: PerfSpot has streamlined the process of naming photos. Whether users upload two photos or even 200 photos, all photos in an album are quickly named whatever the member chooses to name the album. When the member has time, he can add further descriptions to each photo as desired.
• PerfRating: While in album view, rate friends’ photos to let them know what you think.
• Unlimited Photos: Members can upload unlimited photos for free and share them with whomever they want. Members can access and manage all their photos in one place.

Other recent additions to PerfSpot.com include:
• Grapevine: A newsfeed allowing users to view friends’ additions, customizable so users get only what they care about in their newsfeed.
• Networks: Over 300,000 schools, universities, and work networks are available for users to join and further connect members.
• Tons of Videos: Through a variety of partnerships PerfSpot has increased its video library to 115 million videos.

Lenny Revell's South Florida Tour 2008
NEW YORK RISING STAR
SINGER/SONGWRITER & ROCK PIANIST
LENNY REVELL'S SOUTH FLORIDA TOUR 2008

www.myspace.com/lennyrevellband

Your PR Girl is proud to present Lenny Revell's South Florida Tour 2008. A rising star of the Buffalo NY and New York City music scene, Lenny Revell bring his critically acclaimed songs and music to South Florida in a special tour. This is a great opportunity to see a brilliant young talent up close and personal in Delray Beach, Hollywood, Margate, and Miami Florida. Jeff Miers of The Buffalo News called Lenny " a modern-day Elton John". Please go to Lenny Revell's website for updates and added shows.

Lenny Revell stands armed with nothing but a piano and a mic in a music world dominated by raspy-singing guitar players, and rap stars. Seasoned by years of classical training, influenced by the pop/rock world, he's been called our generation’s Elton John and/or Billy Joel – ready to take the world by storm with his unique soul/pop/rock/classical sound. After initial piano training starting at age 9, and venturing off to write his first song at 16, Revell was floored upon his discovery of Elton John, and slowly started singing lessons to follow in his idol's footsteps. Being a martial arts expert on the side of a pianist has garnered him the name "The Piano Dragon" among fans and peers, and his imitated, yet never duplicated style has already started to catch fire in various circles.

To witness Lenny Revell performing is something that must be experienced to be understood. His soulful voice echoes both worlds of pain and longing to sharp rock edginess that leaves one in their seats overloaded with emotion. His singing has been called everything from R & B to Broadway, from Billy Joel to Bon Jovi-esque. His piano playing is another matter unto itself. Transforming between slow and sparse chords to all out marathons that arguably involve every technique that has been attempted on the instrument, his hands can move with the sensitivity of a precise balladeer to a blur reminiscent of a concert artist being possessed by the legendary Franz Liszt. Between sets he is extremely personable, charming, and displays a warming, yet off-the-wall sense of humor that breaks the ice in a room full of anybody from drunk regulars to the most cynical of critics.

Lenny Revell's album "Lessons" introduces the world to a Eurasian’s vision of eastern philosophy mixed into the format of a modern pop/rock sound. Each song is a "lesson", explaining how mankind can better himself through the process of self examination, in a world fueled by superficiality and limited mindsets. The CD empowers the listener to take personal responsibility for their own thoughts and actions, bringing about timeless staples of idealism in an ever changing society. Mixed in with these self-help melodies is the dark humor employed in songs like Ghost or Prelude/Revenge of Little Red Riding Hood that's a throwback from the golden age of the 20th century layered with a contemporary feel.
