New York, NY-Rising stars on the NYC rock and dance scenes, Discrete Encounter will officially release their new CD, "2B1" with a special party and live concert at The Monkey NYC Performance Space - 37 West 26th Street in NYC on Wednesday,March 12 . Renown for their engrossing live shows, striking stage presence, and unique blend of Rock and Electronica, Discrete Encounter will perform at 10pm. The party will feature guest DJ's before and after the Discrete Encounter performance. The admission price will be $20.00, which will include a complementary "2B1" CD and an open wine bar. Discrete Encounter was formed in 2003 by composer/producer Taras Mashtalir and singer/songwriter Natasha Romanova.

Taras Mashtalir is a classical guitarist turned electronic producer who began professional recording and performing in Moscow and St. Petersburg before moving to NYC. His work also includes audio installations and sountracks for independent films and animation.

Natasha Romanova is a trained vocalist with a degree in classical music. Prior to the US, she performed in Ukraine and Russia on national radio and TV. Besides writing lyrics for Discrete Encounter, she is a prolific published writer of poetry and prose.

Discrete Encounter also include Visual Projectionist, Stas, who brings an extra dimension to their live show.

The band has been collaborating with different DJs including Roman S, Animaltek and now their current addition DJ Plexus. Renowned in the New York underground scene, he brings an additional sound design to DE live. DJ PLexus usually spins his own DJ set after a DE show, so that dancing and celebration continue long into the night.
