Smother Magazine Band Spotlight: Totimoshi

Totimoshi
There was Big Black, Blue Cheer, and Cop Shoot Cop. Now you can officially suffix that list with Totimoshi, a powerful trio out of Oakland, California. Deftly combing heroic sludge rock with epic guitar squalor and smart discordant noise, Totimoshi has progressed with each of their albums. Ever expanding their tastes as well as their distortion pedals, Totimoshi has dropped an atomic bomb on those Melvins fans who have been searching for the next Buzz Osbourne. Grungy guitar noise is met with vocal lunacy that Oxbow fans wouldn't nudge aside and crunchy doom-riddled metal with just a hint of old school punk rock. Each of their songs seems to cascade onto itself, building into a frenzied crescendo. As the years go by, the underground music world will forever look to the leaps that Totimoshi has successfully reached with each stirring record.
