Smother Magazine Band Spotlight: Ozomatli
Ozomatli is one of the most impressive bands that I personally have heard in a long time. Mixing Hispanic influence (both vocally and musically) with a DJ, guitar, bass, three percussionists, and a horn section sets them apart from every band currently playing. Doing a tour on the Vans Warped Tour as well as touring with Lenny Kravitz and the Cherry Popping Daddies last year helped spark even more interest in this band. Look for them to explode in '99.
