Smother Magazine Band Spotlight: Die Warzau

Die Warzau
Industrial music has always been one of electronica's niches that has been light years ahead of their brethren. Die Warzau has been leading that charge ever since their birth in the late '80's. After numerous performances, they recorded their single "I've Got To Make Sense" for Jesse Jackson's presidential campaign in '88. Despite their incredible recordings, they found a great love doing production work and began to work with diverse artists such as Bjork and KMFDM, while always stretching the imagination and boundaries of convential electronica/industrial. Indeed, their "Engine" album was quite possibly one of the most influential records of the mid '90's. After an eight year hiatus, they are finally back honing their production and songwriting skills for one of the most compelling masterpieces of industrialized music, 2004's "Convenience", which they released on their own label Pulseblack Records.
