Smother Magazine Band Spotlight: Kane Hodder

Alternating between high-pitched screeches, hardy yells, and beautiful melodic singing, Kane Hodder showcases every single dynamic that a modern screamo band could muster. Of course they're really not a screamo band--indeed they blend progressive metalcore, opera-esque glam rock, and indie rock for a sound so damn unique it must have been generated in a
mad scientist's laboratory. And if you had a look at these guys you'd never expect the holocaust that's coming. But that's what separates these guys from the rest, not only is the sound sure and great but they're not fashion whores of the music industry set out to sell you on that sleek new trucker's hat.
This type of genuine desire to write tremendous music puts forth the flurry of poisonous spite that is contained within each song. Grab ahold for the ride folks because these guys are going to be one of the most talked about heavy bands of this year.
