Smother Magazine Band Spotlight: Keane

Keane is a melodic pop-rock trio from Sussex, England that chooses not to use the standard set-up but go for the piano-bass-drums-vocals number. Does it work? Yes and how! Their music is heart-worn-on-the-sleeve, melodic pop with catchy hooks and dynamite lyrics. You'll instantly be hooked from the first tune to the last and find yourself reeling from exhaustion after being
pummeled with radio-friendly yet extremely deep music that eeks its way into your soul. They were recently signed by Universal Records because there's no way a major could pass these guys by. Look for several Grammy nominations and huge tours in support of their debut album.
