Smother Magazine Band Spotlight: The Emergency

The Emergency is to pop and indie rock what the Pope is to Catholicism. Despite featuring only three members, The Emergency has a sound that could dominate any sold out arena. Complementing their infectious catchy hooks are vocals that would make any grown man cry.
Unlike most power-pop bands, each song that they produce has the potential for instant hit. Currently they're being courted by the college radio circuit and have been touring extensively in the West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia area. All this and they only have one CD under their belt.
It takes most indie bands at least five records, four years of extensive touring, and promotion out the ying-yang before they're noticed and The Emergency has accomplished all of that with relative ease. Why? Because their music is just that good.
