Smother Magazine Band Spotlight: Darkest Hour

Combining the best elements of metal, hardcore, and death metal, Darkest Hour is quite possibly the most exciting band in the metal scene today. Armed with a fierce guitar wall of sonic destruction and a thunderous drummer not to mention the splendid bass playing and the insane vocals, Darkest Hour champions all of those varied genres to form one cohesive unit of powerful metal.
With a live show that by itself is stuff of legends, Darkest Hour presents their latest endeavor "Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation". Strong lyrics are accompanied by complex and oftentimes daunting songwriting skills. The structures of the songs as well as the production are excellent and polished. This latest release just further cements what we already knew about Darkest Hour--that they're
the best metal band out there right now.
