Smother was originally founded waaaay back when the Internet was so ugly and not “kewl” or riddled with so much AOL-speak, or you know, MySpace pages in 1996.
Over the Internet eons we smashed CDs into the ground after listening to them, helped Unsigned Bands achieve superstardom (can you say Alien Ant Farm and Papa Roach, yes we reviewed and pumped ‘em before they were MTV kittens), and generally caused the Music Industry to take notice, with Rolling Stone finally deciding to get an Internet presence for their lame and crap reviews.
So yeah, we’re as old in Internet years as Kurt Loder is old in MTV years.
But, now after a brief hiatus while we redesigned our site into something more time-friendly and (um?) user-friendly, we’re back.
